NDT Technician

MEG provides key NDT support to customers throughout the UK. Due to expansion and continuing demand for MEG\\\'s NDT service we currently have a vacancy for a NDT technician. Reporting to the Operation director, the position will be based in our Derby office with a requirement to work at customers\\\' sites to undertake NDT work as and when required. The ideal applicant should have the following: Full UK Driving Licence, Specific PCN ultrasonic qualifications relating to axle testing, rail testing or ultrasonic testing of wrought products; Any additional general certification for MPI, DPI or Eddy current would be an advantage.

You will be part of a dedicated team where your input and experience is valued and you will make a difference.  You need to be be capable of completing NDT reports / paperwork in a timely manner;  interpreting and applying technical NDT procedures; computer literate ; capable of working alone on-site at railway facilities or as part of a team considering safety at all times.  This post does require  regular working away from home at customer\\\'s sites.  Railway safety experience required.   In return we offer a competitive salary, a benefits package including contributory pension, excellent working conditions and the opportunity to further your career within a supportive environment. Part time NDT technician

Continued demand for our Rail NDT services throughout the UK has resulted in a vacancy for a part time NDT technician.  This position would ideally suit a recently retired NDT technician looking to work 2-3 days per week.

The position will be based in our Derby office but the work is located throughout the UK.  The role involves visiting customers sites to carryout NDT work as and when required. The ideal applicant should have the following: Full UK Driving Licence Specific PCN ultrasonic qualifications relating to axle testing, rail testing or ultrasonic testing of wrought products; Any additional general certification for MPI, DPI or Eddy current would be an advantage.  Completing test sheets / paperwork in a timely manner;  interpreting and applying technical NDT procedures and some basic computer skills.

As an ex Railway NDT technician you will be familiar with working alone and on-site at railway facilities  considering safety at all times. This role will involve travel and some overnight stays.
